Education
We invest in education for people of all ages. From tutoring to school tuition, from transportation costs to educational materials. We explore the best options and find a suitable solution.
Development
People who want to start their own project get a little help: training, a small startup grant, a mentor, or shared tools - anything is possible. Together, we’ll create a plan that works.
Direct aid
If a medical bill, rent, or other unexpected expense threatens to destabilize a family, we cover the shortfall to help restore stability.
Our projects
Tutoring
Five days a week, our teacher Tarek provides supplementary instruction to children who attend school through our program, as well as to children who have no access to education at all. He helps them prepare for tests and ensures that they continue to learn amid the unrest in the country.
School sponsorships
Many children from refugee families do not have a residence permit and therefore do not have access to public education. Private education is an option, but it is often too expensive. Every year, we sponsor a group of students who would otherwise have no access to education.
Vocational Training
A few times a year, we organize a training program for women who want to start their own businesses. The program focuses on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship: setting goals, building self-confidence, making plans, drawing up budgets, and learning to negotiate and debate in order to hold their own in the business world.
Direct aid
Sometimes you need a break to be able to plan ahead again, and that break starts with paying your bills. Think of medical expenses that aren’t covered by other organizations, rent, or other unexpected expenses. We cover those costs when we believe that’s the best path to stability. For major medical procedures, we sometimes also hold one-off fundraisers.
What we are proud of
We work exclusively with volunteers and members of the local community. Because we have no overhead costs, every donation goes directly to the people who need it most.
